Microdermabrasion

How it works
Microdermabrasion is a mechanical deep peel that removes dead skin cells layer by layer. The procedure involves a controlled flow of microcrystals in a closed circuit.

Applications
The treatment is suitable for people of practically all ages and skin types. Microdermabrasion stimulates cell renewal and the formation of collagen/subcutaneous connective tissue, it homogenises skin colour and enhances blood circulation. Irregularities, pigmented lesions, scars, remaining acne and wrinkles become less conspicuous or disappear altogether. Microdermabrasion improves the overall appearance and causes skin rejuvenation.

What can you expect?
The treatment is painless and feels like a jet of sand and/or mini hoover on the skin. Depending on the reason for microdermabrasion treatment, patients can choose between a superficial and a medium-depth treatment. As a rule, multiple treatments are required to achieve the desired result.

After treatment
The only side effects observed after treatment are usually some redness and slight swelling. However, this is entirely dependent on the skin type and these reactions tend to disappear quickly; you can return to your regular business straight away.
If you wish, the skin therapist may camouflage your skin with Lycogel following treatment; in that case, no one will ever notice you just underwent treatment.
